I-684 Ramp To Route 35 Closures Scheduled

A busy ramp on I-684 will be closed for nearly two weeks as contracting crews perform construction activities in the area.

The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert announcing that the north and southbound ramps from I-684 to exit 6 (Route 35) will be closed each night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Sunday, Sept. 15 through Thursday, Sept. 26, in Bedford.

During the construction project, motorists can expect delays and have been instructed to follow the posted detour.

The NYSDOT said that “motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license."
